Last year Student Council decided to make the winter homecoming dance a semi-formal. It was so successful that STUCO decided that it would carry over to this year too. The formal event was once again a success with former Kingman Coach Josh Howard’s brother John Howard DJ’ing with his service, "Minute Man". The Lumber Yard catered, serving steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, and bread. The dance lasted from 8:30 to 11:30, and at the end STUCO handed out door prizes to people that stayed through the entire event.
STUCO also chose this year’s theme "For the Love of the Game" which coordinated well with the fact that the dance was on Valentine’s Day. The attendants were, Freshmen: Blaine Boswell and Christine Wendling, Sophomores: Stone Hageman and Amelia Govert, Juniors: Breck Knoublauch and Erica Witty. The queen candidates were Morgan Hawkins, Kristen Wollen, and Lindsey Smith, and the king candidates were Beau Gault, Aric Hook, and Luke Adelhardt. Winning the title of King and Queen were Beau Gault and Kristen Wollen.
